UGLY ONION
Darlene Clark brought a paper mache onion in for our raffle. It got a lot of laughs and was pretty ugly. Darlene said whoever won it had to display it for the month and then bring it back the next month for the raffle.
Linda Ware’s name was drawn— however, she swears she never saw the ticket so thinks she was set up (and probably was!) Linda decided to be a smart--- and paint a rose on it and then brought it back for the raffle.
Linda told the members that whoever won it had to paint something on it and bring it back to the next meeting.
That is how the "Ugly Onion" got started and a new tradition for the chapter. Thank you Darlene and Linda—this is the best tradition the chapter has!
