Lori Larkey called chapter meeting to order at 9:20 am
Guests
were Rosie Johnson, Dotty Hold, Sally Jackson, Kathy Horn, Cindy Sue Cartledge,
and Mary Kluver. New Member Linda
Coreson attended.
Motion
made by Judy Peterson approved General Meeting Minutes from February and Cindy
Ferguson 2nd the motion the motion passed unanimously.
1st
Vice President – Cindy Ferguson
April
is a two-day seminar at the Shilo Inn in Salem – Lucy Gertscher will teach face
study on Saturday and Sunday Lucy will teach a project on a blue heart. You may
bring your own wood for projects. The two-day seminar is $35.00 per day and you
can use 35 points only for a two-day seminar. Cindy also reminded the chapter
that you could stay at the Shilo for a special rate if you tell them you are
with the chapter. Rooms are about $69.00 with two beds so if you are looking
for a member to share a room call Cindy she may know of a member who is looking
to share a room.
May
is Saturday only at Coburg with James Mills-Price teaching chapter the project
she taught at Vegas Convention. No
pattern will be needed; members will be shown in class. Jamie will be teaching
us a lot of her techniques.
June
is Saturday only in Salem with Norma Johnson teaching how to paint pansies with
Genesis paints all paint will be provide for your use.
July
is Saturday only at Laura’s house chapter will have two of our own members
showing members new patterns to paint on memory boxes.
First
payment is now due for October retreat with Shirley Wilson
Misha
will be back to teach more painting in spring of 2009 the projects will be
fruit and wine.

had four new members in January, and nine new members in February.

and Means – Claudelle Lyall
Claudelle
was absent as her father-in-law passed away and she was needed in California.
But chapter still has brush holders to sell if you would like Claudell to bring
one for you. Just e-mail her and she will bring to next meeting.

are in the drawing this month for a garden plaque. Barbie won the plaque.
Memory
boxes – Linda Ware
Marge
Simons turned in 18 memory boxes. Marge picked from the raffle table a box that
Karen Hubbard had painted.
Points
– Marge Simons went through how to earn points and how to spend your points.
Green
Show – Linda Ware
Linda
will start handing out and talking about green show at May meeting.
Awards
– Jo Langan
The
star award was given out later in the day.
Judy
Peterson had a special announcement on clinic for Spay and Neutering of cats
and dogs. The clinic is holding Bingo
and a silent Auction in April. If you have any painting items to donate to this
worthy cause contact Judy Peterson right away.

and Tell
Norma
Johnson show a painting that was painted with Genesis Paints.
Caroline
Frederick’s show how she took only a part of Mischa pattern and painted it on a
board and then frame it.
Ugly
Onion from 2007 was won by Claudell Lyalle
Motion
